The End Of Time Julian Barbour.
Dials or hands that turn of the face of a clock do not constitute anything in reality. If you want to make time go away just turn the clock around so that it faces the wall. I have never believed in time in and of itself as being a reality. Just a man made shared convention that we use to organize or affairs. I tend to go along with Julian Barbour who ought to know something about these matters being a life long translator for world famous European and world wide particle physicists.
